I’m Fiona and I run Plants Etc. My aim is to offer flowers that feel honest and local – freshly cut, seasonal, and grown close to home. I hope to provide a small but meaningful alternative to the wider cut flower industry, which so often relies on long-distance transport, intensive production systems, poor working conditions, and heavy pesticide use.

With over 35 years’ experience in horticulture, including 23 years as the head gardener at Old Town of Leys Garden (Inverness’s Secret Garden!), I am bringing the beauty of cut flowers to my local community.

I grow on two small sites in the Highlands – one in Drumnadrochit one in Inverness – working with the seasons to produce flowers at their natural best. Everything is grown using organic and environmentally conscious methods, with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, and gentle, low-impact cultivation. By keeping things small-scale and rooted here in the Highlands, I hope these flowers can offer something different: beauty that is sustainable and connected to place.
