How to care for your Tradescantia
LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect light, some early morning and/or evening sun is fine but avoid strong direct sun. Requires good light to develop colour.
WATERING: Water thoroughly then allow top 1- 2” to dry out before watering again. Avoid waterlogging.
HUMIDITY: Easy-going, will be happy in most rooms in the home.
TEMPERATURE: Enjoys warmth of 15-28°C. Avoid draughts.
FEEDING: Liquid houseplant feed as instructions on bottle during spring and summer. In autumn and winter feed less and only if plants continue to actively grow.
GROWTH: Average to fast growth rate. Can reach 25cm height x 45cm length.
TOXICITY: Toxic if ingested.
OTHER: Regular pinching of growth points will encourage bushiness.
