How to care for your Philodendron
LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect light. Some early morning and/or evening sun is fine, but avoid strong direct sun.
WATERING: Water thoroughly then allow top 1-2” to dry out before watering again. Avoid waterlogging.
HUMIDITY: Easy-going. Happy in average home environments, but also enjoys humidity so can be put into any room including a bathroom.
TEMPERATURE: Enjoys warmth of 16-30°C. Avoid draughts.
FEEDING: Use liquid houseplant feed as instructed on the bottle during spring and summer. Feed less in autumn and winter – and only if plants continue to actively grow.
GROWTH: Average growth rate. Can exceed 2m in length.
TOXICITY: Toxic if ingested.
PRUNING: Prune to restrict growth if required.
OTHER: Allow to trail or support with moss pole, stakes or trellis.
