Peperomia prostrata is a fascinating plant, small succulent leaves resembling the shells of turtles and are always remarked on. It does well in bathrooms and is a must have for use in terrariums. Hangs or trails and occasionally flowers.

How to care for your String of Turtles
LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun. Will tolerate lower light conditions.
WATERING: Likes to be slightly moist at all times. Avoid waterlogging but also do not allow to dry out completely.
HUMIDITY: Enjoys humidity but will tolerate average home environments. Avoid drying heat or cold draughts. Humidity can be increased by pebble trays, grouping with other plants or a humidifier. Ideal terrarium plant.
TEMPERATURE: Enjoys warmth of 16-28°C.
FEEDING: Does not require much feeding. Use half strength liquid feed every 3-4 weeks in spring and summer. Feed less in autumn and winter – and only if plants continue to actively grow.
GROWTH: Trailing/creeping. Slow growth rate. Can reach up to 30cm in length.
TOXICITY: Safe for pets and people.
OTHER: Cuttings can be laid directly into closed terrariums.
