How to care for your String of Hearts
LIGHT: Bright light, will do well with some direct sun but not harsh midday summer sun. Will not tolerate low light.
WATERING: Water thoroughly then allow to dry out almost completely before watering again. Avoid waterlogging.
HUMIDITY: Easy-going, will be happy in most rooms in the home.
TEMPERATURE: Enjoys warmth of 15-30°C. Avoid draughts.
FEEDING: Does not require much feeding, half strength liquid feed every 3-4 weeks in spring and summer, less in autumn and winter and only if plants continue to actively grow.
GROWTH: Trailing. Average growth rate. Can exceed 1m in length.
TOXICITY: Safe for pets and people.
OTHER: Prune to restrict growth if required, cuttings can be used to propagate new plants.
